On 2 November 2022, the minister refused Value Trading BV’s application to renew its environmental licence. The company is making every effort to comply with the minister’s ruling.
Value Trading is in discussions with environmental regulators to safely comply with the minister’s decision. The environmental regulators were able to note that the treatment operations were halted and decommissioning of the plants was started. A roadmap was agreed to enable the further phased decommissioning of the purification and dismantling plant to proceed safely. To this end, the environmental regulator took an administrative action on 9 December 2022.
The trading of metals is not subject to licensing. Value Trading was able to reorganise itself at short notice so that our numerous clients are not inconvenienced and can continue to rely on our excellent service.
